A bio-farming company in British Columbia has the potential to revolutionise how people get their hands on food.
The Bio-farms Corporation says it has an “unparalleled expertise in manufacturing biotechnology-based products and technologies that enable sustainable production and sustainable food security,” but it needs to start from scratch.
The company says it wants to build a factory that uses its own genetic material and processes food as if it was organic and that is a key ingredient for the company’s patented bio-engineered meat products.
The project has drawn national attention and led to international interest.
Bio-tech is a new field that has emerged as a growing market in recent years.
But Bio-Farms CEO Paul Smith says the industry is still in its infancy and needs to be well funded to ensure success.
“What we’re doing is putting together a project that’s going to make it possible to make the kind of product that will become the norm in the world,” he said.
“Bio-farmed products, in terms of their health benefits, are one of the most promising areas to be a part of the food system.”
The company has built a small factory that is about 100 square metres in size.
It is using a proprietary process and technology to grow its own seeds and grow its first product, the Bio-Chip.
It is the first plant-based food product made by a company in Canada.
The first batch of Bio-Tech Bio-Products, made from a genetic material from a microbe, are now in the hands of farmers in British Colombia.
The Canadian company says its first batch will be available in the spring of 2019.
“We’re not going to do this with a handful of farmers or a few companies,” Smith said.
“This is a project of a large, international company that’s been around for a long time and has a good track record.”
Smith said the project is a challenge, because he has had to build up his company and its financial backing.
He says that it takes time to raise the funds to get a company like Bio-Fuels ready to be commercially viable.
Bio-Fuetics has been around since the early 2000s.
The company produces products for animal husbandry, food processing and cosmetics.
It produces bio-fuels in a lab using bacteria.
BioFuetics is not the first company to use genetics to create plants.
In the 1960s, Charles Darwin created the first synthetic plant, and in 2000, the US Food and Drug Administration approved a plant-derived synthetic protein called Dafneomyces.
It was a huge step forward for plant-powered biofuels, but the industry has not been without controversy.
In the last decade, many companies have tried to make plant-like biofuel from genetic material, but some companies failed to make any significant headway.
In 2015, a major biofuel company called TransCanada withdrew its proposal to make biodiesel from plants.
Bio Fuels Corp. says the company is on track to break ground on a plant factory this year and says the first production batch will include plant-made products.
The first production is expected to be ready for consumption by the end of 2019, with the company aiming to have the technology ready for mass production by 2021.
